It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Clara Gayle Maddison, age 69, of Springhill, NS.  Gayle passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at High Crest Nursing Home with family by her side.

Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Kirk) Ferguson.

Despite a long term battle with Multiple Sclerosis Gayle remained positive and never complained.  She never asked for much, and it was the little things in life that made her happy.  She loved visits from family and friends and never missed an opportunity to go out.

She will be dearly missed by her son Steven (Laverne), Springhill; three granddaughters Caitlyn Wride (Greg Ripley), Jaclyn Wride (Michael Murray) and Madelyn Wride (Josh Lee); brothers Kenneth (Elizabeth) Ferguson, Springhill, and Kirk (Deborah) Ferguson, Moncton, NB; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gayle was predeceased by her husband Harold and daughter Sheri.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).  A time of visitation will be held at A H Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from noon until 2 pm, followed immediately by the funeral service at 2 pm, Major Max Snow officiating  Gayle will be laid to rest between her husband and daughter in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.

If so desired donations in Gayle's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Gayle's family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of High Crest Nursing home and the VON for their dedication and care over the years.
