Kenneth Percy "Ken" Gothreau, 83, passed away at his home in Toronto, ON, Monday, August 6, 2018. Born in Amherst, Ken was a son of the late Frederick and Eva (Vito) Gothreau.

Ken will be sadly missed by daughters Donnarene O'Toole and Darlene (Chris) Michael;  sister, Francis Landry, last surviving sibling of fourteen children, of Amherst, NS; three grandchildren, Kenny (Jodie) O'Toole, Jennifer (Korey Pepper) O'Toole, and David (Tracy Dungale) Jones; six great grandchildren, Adien O'Toole,  Conner O'Toole,  Evan Jones, Abigail O'Toole,  Kenneth O'Toole and Emily Jones as well as many special nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife the former Edith MacDonald; son-in-law Brian O'Toole,  brothers, Garnet, Gordie, Donny, Tootsie, Lloyd, Billy, and Ronnie, and sisters, Gladys, Florence, Dot,  Marrian and Shirley.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) from where a time of visitation will be held 7-9 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11 am. Rev. Wayne McCarther presiding.

Donations in memory of Ken may be made to the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital, or a charity of choice.
