It is with great sadness that we announce Janice Allaby’s passing on February 9th after a tiring battle with Parkinson’s. Janice was born in Springhill, Nova Scotia to George and Alice (Rector) McLellan.

Having lived in Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and New Brunswick she leaves a scattering of family and friends who mourn her passing notwithstanding that the complications of her illness made staying in touch difficult.

Janice was much loved by her daughter Heather Austin and son-in-law Greg Skaret. She will be greatly missed by her treasured granddaughter Jill.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by Robert Allaby, her second husband.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, N S (902 597 2361). A Graveside Service will be held in the West Brook Cemetery on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 am with The Reverend Wayne McCarther Officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held at the A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill.
