It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emile F. Griffon, 87 years, of Springhill, on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Fred and Lea Griffon.

Emile was employed in his younger years as a coal miner, then with C. M. McLean Ltd. and finally as caretaker of the Springhill High School. He enjoyed, painting, bowling, card games, the beach and his home, fishing and hunting. Emile was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years the former Jean Carter; daughter, Judy (David) Killen and son Alan (Joanne) Griffon; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; as well as a sister, Mae Springer.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Arrangement are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). Honouring Emile's wishes, there is to be no visitation or Funeral Service.
