It is with sadness that we announce the passing of David Lorne Beaton, age 71, of Springhill. David passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.

Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late George and Genevieve (Gullins) Beaton.

David loved sports, cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Stealers and the Chicago Black Hawks. He would always take time for a game of cards with family or friends.

He is survived by a brother George Beaton of Springhill; sister, Marilyn (Gil) Gallant, Halifax; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Dan.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). In keeping with David's wishes, a graveside service will take place by his parents in the Hillside Cemetery in the spring.
