It is with sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Rose "Marg" Dow, 80 years of Maccan, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Tena (Vance) Mitchell.

She was an adherent to the United Church, Southampton; member of the LTBA #178; Springhill Ladies Bowling League.  Most of her working years were spent in clerking, manufacturing and as a day care worker.

She is survived by sons, Kenneth (Brenda), and Earl (Lori); sister, Elizabeth Choisnet, Springhill; brothers, John, Springhill, Kenneth, South Attleboro, Mass and Jordan, Nappan;  7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband William Edward Dow; sons, Jerry and David; brothers, George "Chick" and Alex; sisters, Effie, Esther and Lois.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of  A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Funeral Home with The Reverend Wayne McCarther officiating.  Burial will take place beside her husband Bill in the Athol Cemetery, Little Forks, Cumb. Co., N. S.
