It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Diane Jean MacDonald, age 72,
of Springhill. Diane passed away peacefully, surrounded by
her loving family, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on
Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was a
daughter of the late John and Ethel (Ferguson)
MacDonald.
Diane worked at Horton Dental Lab in
Amherst for many years. She was a faithful member of St.
John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Springhill. A
friendly and caring woman, she loved her friends and family dearly and
always enjoyed sharing in a good conversation.
She is survived by her sister, Christine
Asher, Truro; brother, John W. (Debbie) MacDonald, Pictou; several
nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her spouse Laurie Maine, brothers, Father David MacDonald, Brian in
infancy; sisters, Thelma and Mary Ellen; brother-in-law John Asher and
step-father, Lawrence Casey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St.,
Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visitation will take place on
Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass for Diane will be
celebrated from St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill
on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11 am, Father Donald Boudreau
officiating. Internment will follow immediately in the North
Street Cemetery.
