The passing of Ian Raymond Jackson, 30, of Springhill, occurred suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the QE2 Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. Born in Springhill, Ian is a son of Ruth Clarke and Dave (Sharon Carde) Jackson.

Ian was a talented poet and songwriter with an avid interest in the guitar. He enjoyed hikes in the country and spending time with his friends and his cats. He was a loyal friend to all and will be dearly missed by everyone.

Ian will be missed by his mother, Ruth Clarke, Springhill; his father, Dave (Sharon Carde) Jackson, Springhill; his brother Ryan Clarke, Springhill; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and close friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as his Aunt Donna (Casey) McCormick, his Aunt Gail Jackson and his Uncle Bill Jackson.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of AH Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Honouring the family's wishes, there is to be no visitation or funeral services at this time.

Donations in memory of Ian may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
