It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Edith (Edee) May Gothreau 81 of Toronto, Ontario formerly of Springhill Junction, Nova Scotia, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Toronto East General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario.  Born in Springhill Junction, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lena (Burke) MacDonald.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Kenneth Gothreau; daughter, Donnarene O’Toole and Darlene Michael and husband Chris all of Toronto; sister, Annarose Kennedy, last surviving sibling of 13 children, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three grandchildren, Kenny O’Toole and wife Jodie, Jennifer O’Toole (Korey Pepper) and David Jones, six great grandchildren; Aiden O’Toole, Conner O’Toole, Evan Jones, Abigail O’Toole, Kenneth O’Toole and Emily Jones and many special nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by brothers, Lester, Wilson, Donald, Douglas, Harry, Henry Ernald, Arthur and Ernest; sisters, Irena and Darlene.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11am on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 with Rev. Wayne McCarther presiding.  Burial will take place in the Springhill Junction Cemetery.
