It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Eleanor Coulter, 92 years of Springhill. Eleanor passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ellen (MacLeod) Leadbetter.

Eleanor was a school teacher for 6 years and found her true calling as a loving mother and wife. She lived in Wallace & New Glasgow and was a dedicated member of St. David's Presbyterian Church, Springhill, as well as a member of the Pythian Star Temple #8 Pythian Sisters. Eleanor was proud of her family and enjoyed many summers at the cottage in Pugwash, NS.

She is survived by her children Fred (Grace) of Sackville, NB, Marilyn Beers of High River, AB, Doug (Linda) of Greenfield, NS, Paul (Nadine) of Leicester, NS; grandchildren, Nicole, Monica, Jeff, Claire, Duncan, Sheldon, and Sara; great grandchildren, Ava, Freeman, Sterling, Carmen, Marcy, Wesley and Ayla.

She is predeceased by her husband, Freeman Coulter, son in law Bill Beers, brother Leroy, Hugh, Irvin and sisters Genevieve, Una and Annie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visitation will take place on Friday from 10 to 11 am, followed immediately at 11 am by the funeral service at A H Brown Funeral Home, Rev. John Tonks officiating. Burial will take place in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma, NS.

At this time, the Coulter Family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the Medical Unit at the Cumberland Regional Health Care for the kind, compassionate care given to Eleanor. Also, to the Centennial Villa, Amherst, for their exceptional kindness and care shared with Eleanor while she lived at the Villa.
