Leonard Ronald "Len"
Killen 64, of Springhill, passed away on Tuesday, April
18, 2017, peacefully, with his family by his side, in the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Nappan. Born in Springhill on October 24,
1952, Len was a son of the late A. Frank and Dorothy "Dot"
(Kitson) Killen.
Len was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and working
in his yard. He liked woodworking and the opportunity to work with his
hands around his home. He had a joking personality and liked to carry
on with his friends and family. He was well loved and will be dearly
missed by everyone who knew him including his two cats.
Len is survived by his daughter, Leanna Killen (Mathieu
LeBlanc); a brother, John Killen; his former wife Leah (Ruddick)
Killen; five grandchildren, Travis Killen, Alexis Killen, Nicholas
Smith, Olivia Smith, and Nolan Smith, and a step-grandson, Justin
Dimichelle.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son Lee in
2009.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, (902-597-2361). A time of visitation will be held
from the funeral home on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 12:30 pm until
the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Lieut. Stephen Toynton presiding.
Interment will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, at a
later date.
Donations in memory of Len may be made to the LA Animal
Shelter or a charity of the donor's choice.
