It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Glen Maxwell Potter, age 88, of Springhill, NS.
Glen passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on
Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
Glen was born in Springhill, NS, the son
of the late Edward and Enid (McFarlane) Potter.
Glen was a manager at Woolworths around
the Maritimes as a young man. He later went on to work at
Waldale and Canadian Assemblies, before going to work at the
Springhill Penitentiary until his retirement.
Glen will be sadly missed by his wife
the former Dorothy Lois Cannon, Amherst; children, Cathy (Donald)
Sarson, Amherst, Ted, Springhill, Steven (Sandy), Calgary, Brian,
Winnipeg, Enid Munro (Kris Landry), Springhill, Stuart (Georgie),
Springhill; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister
Gladys Iceton, Texas.
He was predeceased by his sister Joan
Weinburg of Ontario.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H
Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St, Springhill, NS (902-597-2361)
where cremation has taken place. Glen's life will be
celebrated at an Afternoon of Remembrance on Friday, February 24, 2017
from 2 to 4 pm at A H Brown Funeral Home. Burial will take
place in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, in the
spring.
