It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the
passing of Jennifer Leah Gallagher
(MacDonald), age 44 of Southampton, NS. Jennifer passed
on February 12, 2017 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre with
her loving family at her side. Jennifer fought a brave and courageous
battle with breast cancer.
Jennifer graduated from Springhill High School in 1991 and
went on to graduate from St. Martha's School of Nursing, Antigonish,
in 1994. She worked at Victoria Manor, High Crest Nursing Home and was
currently employed as a Registered Nurse at East Cumberland Lodge and
Health Care Service at the Springhill Institution. Jennifer touched
many lives with her love, compassion, loyalty, commitment and
dedication to family and others. We are so blessed to have had
Jennifer in our lives; even though our hearts are broken she will live
on thru us honouring her memory.
Jennifer loved life, her
friends, work, travel, the beach but the greatest loves of her life
were her husband Ted and children Katelynn and Dawson who brought her
great joy, pride and comfort.
Jennifer was born November 25, 1972, the youngest daughter of
Sammy and Betty MacDonald of Springhill. She is also survived by
brother, Paul (Susan) MacDonald; sister, Lisa (Andy) Miller, all of
Springhill; in-laws, David and Evelyn Gallagher, Southampton; Kirk
(Barb) Gallagher, Springhill; nephews, Forrest Gallagher, Brandon
MacDonald, niece Danielle (Miller) MacDonald, other cousins, aunts and
uncles.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the

Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) . A Celebration of Jennifer's life
will be held in her memory at the Springhill Legion on Saturday,
February 18, 2017 from 2- 4 p.m.
We the family would like to thank Dr. Begin, the nurses of
2nd Floor at CRHCC, Dr. Short with the Palliative Care Team, VON,
Continuing Care, Oncology at the Moncton City and Dr. George Dumont
Hospitals, family and friends.
