It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roberta "Bobbie" McKay, 72, of Springhill, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in All Saints Hospital. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Minerva Clarke.

Bobbie attended school in Springhill before marrying the love of her life, the late David "Punky" McKay. She was well known in town as the local florist, and hairdresser. She enjoyed keeping busy in her community through her attendance of local activities, groups, and committees. Bobbie was talented with crafts; flowers, painting, knitting, sewing, and quilting were among just a few of the skills she possessed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Bobbie will be sadly missed by her children, Stephen (Linda) McKay, Springhill and Tammy (Mike) Witroway, Brampton, ON; grandchildren, Matthew and Luke; siblings, Dawna (Don) MacDonald, Springhill, Charles (Carol) Rose, Stoney Creek, ON and Dorothy (Howard) Browning, Hamilton, ON.

Besides her mother, Bobbie was predeceased by her husband, David "Punky" McKay in 2014 and her maternal grandparents Harold "Pecky" and Daisy Clarke.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm with The Reverend Marion Lloy presiding.

Donations in memory of Bobbie may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
