The death of Edmund Kenneth "Bud" Emberly, 83, of Springhill, occurred at the High Crest Nursing Home on Saturday, December 31, 2016.  Born in Springhill, Bud was a son of the late Edmund and Lousie (Beaton) Emberly.

For most of his life, Bud owned and ran Bud's Service Station and Lunch Counter in the west end of Springhill where he was best known for his fish and chip orders.  In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with the boys at the camp.  He loved baseball and hockey and enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Bud will be sadly missed by his daughters Susan (Duane) Beaton and Ann (James) Matheson; his son, John (Erin) Emberly; eight grandchildren, Danika, Bronson, Morgan, Levi, Clayton, Merrick, Rome, and Koa; three great grandchildren, Malik, Adam, and Sierra, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Joan (nee Hunter) in 1998; an infant son, David; a sister, Janet and a brother Jack.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H.
