Bob worked in numerous local industries
before serving in the army as an infantry instructor from 1942-1945.
He became a master mason at which he worked throughout his life. He

churches. He was also an active Rotarian and member of the Masonic
Lodge. Bob was a star pitcher with the Army Team in Camp Aldershot
during the war and helped lead it to a semi-final victory in 1944
(there was no final). He sang baritone with the Annapolis Valley based
gospel octet the Avon Eight and was a lead in the barbershop quartet
the Four Barrs, and performed with numerous other singing groups.
Throughout his life his chief loves were family, church, singing and
baseball.
He was greatly beloved by his children
Cameron (Diana Pepall) of Ottawa, and Sandra (Terry Murphy) of Halifax
and by grandchildren Simon and Andrew Pulsifer of Toronto and Jill
Murphy of Vancouver and Tim Murphy of Grand Prairie, Alberta. His
