It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Joan Smith, 90, of Springhill, on Monday,
August 29, 2016, in the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper
Nappan.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late
Okain and Elizabeth (Robertson) Cameron.Joan was a war bride, joining
her husband in Canada, through Pier 21, in 1946. She was a loving and
devoted mother and grandmother, and always looked forward to time with
family. She also enjoyed spending time in the garden nurturing her
flowers.
She will be dearly missed by sons, Bob (Rachelle), Springhill
and Rick, Springhill; daughters, Diane (Gordon) Beech Carleton Place,
ON, and Betty (Jim) Gunn, Fall River, NS; several grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband F. Leonard Smith; son,
Kim; grandson Michael; sisters; May Hamilton, Helen Monroe, Elizabeth
Fox and Kenetta Brown.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A
Private Family Graveside Committal Service will be held in the
Hillside Cemetery, Springhill where Joan's casket, containing her son
Kim's ashes, will be laid to rest beside her husband.

choice.
