It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Ernest "Ross" Creed at the age
of 86, on July 26, 2016 at the Ottawa General Hospital, Ottawa,
Ontario.
He was a son of the late Frank and Jessie Alice (Beaton)
Creed.
Ross devoted his whole life to the military, 32 years as a
proud member of the Royal Canadian Signals Corps and 30 years as a
civilian with National Defence Headquarters. He was also a member of
the NCO Sergeants Mess, and the Montgomery Branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion. He will be missed by all who knew him and his
jokes.
He will be sadly missed by his partner and best friend,
Doreen McKee; sister, Margaret Watson; nieces, Marlene (Paul) Quirk;
Betsi (Fred) Skolaris; Joyce-Lee Horbath; nephew, Ed (Wendy) Creed;
dear friend and caregiver, Richard Beck.
He was predeceased by a brother, Frank "Sonny"
Creed; sister, Joyce Chapman and nephew, Allan Creed.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the A H
Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361).
Funeral service was held on August 2, 2016 in Ottawa. Burial will take
place in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, at a later
date.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Ross
may do so to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of
choice.
