Muriel Naomi Ross, 91, of
Springhill, passed away peacefully at High Crest Nursing Home on
Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Henry
and Carrie (Fisher) Mooring.
Muriel worked for many years as a hairdresser and was
employed at All Saints Hospital for a short period of time and
MacAloney's Nursing Home.
Muriel was a woman of many talents. She loved to sew, make
quilts, paint pictures, play the fiddle, piano, accordion, tap dance
and square dance. She, along with her sister Joan and brother Johnny,
appeared on the Don Messer Show.
Muriel will be sadly missed by her sons Dennis (Sheila) and
Ralph; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great
grandchildren; sister Joan MacKenzie of West Branch.
Besides her parents, Muriel was predeceased by husband Kent;
daughters Sylvia Boss and Catherine Baldwin; grandson Robin Boss;
daughter-in-law Joanne (Lees) Ross; sisters Clara, Mae, Juanita, and
Goldie; brothers Johnny, Roland, Charles and Carl.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A H Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). In
keeping with Muriel's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
Internment will take place at a later date in the Hillside
Cemetery.
