It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Clayola "Clay" Eileen Marshall, age 73, of Springhill.  Clay passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, January 25, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Advocate, she was brought up in Port Greville, NS by her parents, Frances (McCulley) Morris and the late Forrest "Tud" Morris.

Clay started her career with Eaton’s in Moncton in 1963 where she met her future husband Douglas.  After getting married, she devoted her energy to raising her family.  She loved life and socializing with her many friends.  She cherished her role as hostess for friends and family of all ages at the cottage "Strait Time" in Pugwash, Nova Scotia.

In addition to her mother Frances of Port Greville, NS, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Douglas, Springhill; daughter Marlene Marshall, Springhill and son Darren (Dr. Krista McAllister) Marshall, St. Stephen, NB; 2 grandchildren Dylan and Cameron; siblings Barbara Hilchie, Dartmouth, NS, Scott (Ruby) Morris, Springhill Junction, NS, and Danny (Charlotte) Morris, Apple River, NS; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brother Dara.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361).  Cremation has taken place.  Visiting hours for Clay Marshall will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1 pm until 2 pm, followed immediately at 2 pm by the Celebration of Life, all being held at St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, Springhill.  Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in the spring.
