It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing from natural causes of Frederick Vincent "Vince" Ward, age 58, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Vince passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Winnipeg.

Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of Marilyn (Carrigan) Ward, and the late Frederick Ward.

He was brought up in Montreal, QC. He became a certified Chef, working for numerous hotels across Canada. Later in life he became a long haul truck driver and finally settled in Winnipeg, working for Manitoulin Transport. Vince loved life, he was adventurous, loved to laugh, make others laugh, and lived life to the fullest.

In addition to his mother, he will be dearly missed by siblings Frances Ward, Richard (Amanda), Cathy Ward (Dave O'Reilly), Linda Ward (Steve McKay), all of Springhill, and Dan (Rachael), Lr. Sackville, NS; 9 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece; several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., (902-597-2361). Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 am from the St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Springhill, with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Internment will occur in the North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
