The death of Darleen Mae (White)
Curry, 85, of Springhill, occurred at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, with her family by her side on
Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Darleen was a daughter of the
late Allan and Emma (Vienneau) Skidmore.
Darleen was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great
grandmother. She loved to play cards and work on
puzzles. She was particularly fond of her cat
Fluffy. She loved to care for others and see laughter on
their faces. She will be missed by all who knew and loved
her.
Darleen leaves behind a son Dennis,
Amherst; three daughers, Bonnie (Bruce) Hineman, Falmouth, NS, Sally
(Russell) Godfrey, Springhill and Shelley (Tim) Terris, Springhill;
six grandchildren, Tracy (Shauna) Rose, Trevor (Kelly) Rose, Curtis
(Robin) White, Leanne White, Trevor (Vanessa) Godfrey and Marcia
(Bruce) Moore; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Boss and
Audrey Ryan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband,
Leonard White, her second husband, Raymond Curry and three brothers,
Melvin, Allan, and Douglas.
Arrangements are
under the care and supervision of A.H. Brown
Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street,
Springhill, (902-597-2361) from where a time of visitation will be
held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the funeral service
at 2:00 pm with The Reverend Wayne McCarther officiating.
Donations in memory of Darleen may be made to
a charity of the donor's choice.
