It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of Marie L. Bishop, age 82, of Springhill, NS.  Marie passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, September 11, 2015.

Born in Truro, NS, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Ina (Murray) Weatherbee.

Marie was an avid Blue Jays fan, and rarely missed a game on tv.  She was also an avid bowler, and loved to read.  She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her donuts.  She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  

She will be sadly missed by sons, Rick Weatherbee, Halifax, John (Wina Parent) Bishop, Fredericton and Aaron (Jimi Doss) Bishop, California; daughters, Paulette (Bill Muirhead) Weatherbee, Petitcodiac and Angel Susan (Derek) Nicholson, Truro; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Bishop; son, David Weatherbee; and sister, Evelyn Weatherbee.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597-2361).  A graveside committal service will be held in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2 pm, Pastor Paul Berry officiating.
